Founded in 2016, the Fontele Studios emerged in Brazil with the aim of expanding the audiovisual, the literature and the publishing fields. We’re seeking to strengthen and expand Brazilian and Latin American culture by creating and producing audiovisual, editorial and transmedia content in dialogue with the contemporary times.

  • Elias Fontele Dourado

    Elias Fontele Dourado is a tenured Philosophy professor (level III) and a PhD candidate in Communication at UnB. With a Master’s degree in Philosophy, he has published articles in both international and national journals. He is the author of the book Os tempos cerrados. He has won the Cultural Areas grant from the DF Cultural Support Fund three times and recently won a cultural research grant. He graduated in violin from the Brasília School of Music. He is the screenwriter of the feature film Hacker Leonilia, which was selected by Rumos Itaú Cultural 2023-2024, and was a script consultant for the short film version of the same project. He writes film articles for the Versátil Home Vídeo encyclopedia. Elias was a prominent winner in the 2015 Vivara Editora National New Poets Contest. He has published short stories and poems in various anthologies and has been selected in several contests, such as the 2023 Off-Flip short story award, the 2022 Kalytek Editora short story award, and the 2017 Abrace um Autor short story award from IFSP.

  • Gustavo Fontele Dourado

    He is the director, screenwriter, and producer of the transmedia animation project Hacker Leonilia, which includes various formats such as feature film, short film, and web series. The feature version was selected by Rumos Itaú Cultural 2023-2024, and the other formats are sponsored by FAC-DF. With this project, he attended the Meet Them in San Sebastián International Film Festival and he also won best pitch in the 6th Lanterna Mágica – Animation Film Festival. He also worked as an executive producer on several projects, including the feature film “João Tomé – Memória e Vida” (co-produced by Fontele and selected by the Paulo Gustavo Law DF), the feature film/web series “Andorinhas” (an associated production of Fontele), the series and feature film “Antena da Raça” (Cannes Classics), and the feature film “No rastro das cargueiras” (Pierre Verger Award). Gustavo was awarded the Diaspora Prize at DiaLab for the project “Mulheres que bordam” and by DOT Cine for the animated series “Viagens de Nina” at Icumam Lab. He participated in events such as the 93rd Lisbon Book Fair, the Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival, the Venice Production Bridge at the Venice Film Festival, RIO2C, and CCXP. In the editorial field, he produced the comic book “Ritos de Passagem,” which was among the five nominees for the 2021 Jabuti Prize and won the 13th International Manga Award (Japan). Gustavo holds a degree in Cinema and Digital Media from IESB (Brasília-DF) and in Game Production from Saga/Axis (São Paulo-SP).

  • Maria Félix Fontele

    She is a journalist and writer. She served as Deputy Secretary and Coordinator of Social Communication for the Government of the Federal District, as well as the first Coordinator of Social Communication for the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District. She worked as a reporter, head of reporting, editor, and columnist for Jornal de Brasília and Correio Braziliense. She is the author of the books Versos que me habitam (poetry) and O barulho, o silêncio e a solidão de Deus (chronicles), both published by Confraria do Vento Editora. In 1992, she won the Poetry Contest of the magazine Xicóatl, in Salzburg (Austria), with the poem Retrato. She was the editor of the book Cinema para Cegos, which was launched at the Brasília Film Festival. She participated in the Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival (France/2023).
